This trail in Oswald West creates a fun adventure for kiddos to explore the forest and the ocean shore. A short trail winds through an old growth forest next to a creek, then over an exciting bridge and onto a beautiful cove beach. This family enjoyed the stunning scenery, fresh air and perfect summer day on the Oregon Coast. Their family photo session lasted about 1 hour and the kids had a wonderful time in nature. Short Sand Beach in Oswald West State Park is among my very favorite locations. Located close by my home, I have been surfing, hiking and adventuring within this park since I was a kid myself. My family and I take our kiddos down the trails and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of shortsands beach. My 9 year old caught his first wave at this same beach that I surfed some of my first waves almost 30 years ago. An incredibly special and magical place.
