Absolutely. Every beach has a different feel. Cannon Beach offers iconic views and Haystack Rock, while Manzanita is quieter and spacious. Hug Point, Pacific City, and other locations provide cliffs, forests, waterfalls, or dramatic coastal scenery. We’ll help you select a location that fits your session.
Golden hour, shortly before sunset, usually provides soft, flattering light and beautiful color. Sunrise is another excellent option, especially for families who prefer a quieter beach. Mid day also looks gorgeous on the Oregon coast if that works best for the kids. We also photograph on cloudy days, which can create soft light and a beautiful, moody coastal atmosphere.
Choose clothing that feels comfortable and allows you to move. Neutral colors, soft blues, earthy tones, creams, and subtle patterns work especially well against the Oregon Coast. Coordinating outfits usually look more natural than matching everyone exactly. Layers are also helpful because coastal weather can be breezy.

That is completely normal. We do not expect children to sit still and smile for an entire session. We encourage families to walk, play, explore, cuddle, and interact. These activities help children feel comfortable and often create the most meaningful photographs.
