Capturing timeless memories while on vacation with a Family Photo Session in Cannon Beach.
Nestled along the rugged and captivating Oregon Coast, Cannon Beach beckons with its sweeping landscapes and dramatic seascapes. As a local photographer, I had the honor of documenting a family's precious moments against the backdrop of this coastal gem. With its iconic Haystack Rock, golden sands, and Pacific Ocean vistas, Cannon Beach offers a setting that is nothing short of enchanting for family photo sessions.
The journey began with meticulous planning. Rebecca chose the sunset session from my online booking calendar in advance with the hopes of a magical sunset on while visiting the Oregon Coast. We finalized all the details and selected Chapman Beach as our session location in Cannon Beach.
On the day of the shoot, I arrived early to savor the breathtaking views and embrace the tranquil ambiance of Cannon Beach. The Oregon Coast never ceases to amaze, with its ever-changing interplay of sea and sky. The vast expanse of the Pacific Ocean stretched before us, its waves crashing rhythmically against the shore, while Haystack Rock stood as an imposing sentinel in the distance.
Rebecca’s family arrived with anticipation of a fun session, dressed in coordinated but casual attire that harmonized beautifully with the beach's natural color palette, they exuded an effortless elegance. The three children added a spark of excitement while exploring the beach and wonder at the coastal paradise before them.
We began our session in grassy sand dunes overlooking the sea stacks of Chapman point and distant views of the iconic Haystack Rock. The kiddos running and playing in between the formal posed photos keeping the session fun entertaining. Each click of my camera seemed to freeze these genuine moments of connection and happiness of being together.
As the sun began to set we moved down the beach to explore shore and tide pools. I encouraged the family to be playful together and walk along the water's edge. These moments not only produced candid, heartwarming photos but also showcased the beautiful dynamics within the family. Laughter echoed across the shore, and my camera was there to capture it all.
One of my favorite moments was when the parents shared a dance in the water and the kids reactions when they kissed. Such a beautiful memory.
