Caroline & Eric had a vision of an early morning hike to Cascade Head with a beach elopement beside Proposal Rock in Neskowin. With a close group of family and friends they were married on the beach and their visions of an Oregon Coast wedding were realized. An absolutely beautiful day to be a part of.
We begin our morning winding through the forest trails up to the bluffs of Cascade Head. I was busy documenting Caroline and Eric enjoying a beautiful sunny day on the Oregon Coast as we made our way out onto the wildflower fields above the ocean. The views were incredible. Watching the Salmon River make its way out to the sea with waves crashing on the rocky shoreline.
We photographed a variety of naturally candid photos while we explored the ocean cliffs. We spotted birds, flowers and a couple of surfers in the cove below. As we made our way down from Cascade Head we chatted about the wedding later that afternoon. They couldn’t believe the day had finally come, Caroline wanted to share the news with everyone we saw. :)
The house Caroline and Eric rented was stunning. Tucked into the south point in Neskowin with amazing views of Proposal Rock. I had to capture an aerial drone photo of the house and ocean. I also love photographing all the details and candid photos in preparation for the wedding. With a few getting ready photographs the next step was the ceremony on the beach!
Eric and thier family and friends were set and awaiting Caroline. This was the first time Eric saw Caroline in her wedding dress. Such a special moment to photograph. The ceremony was beautiful with Proposal Rock as the perfect backdrop to exchange vows & rings. It was amazing that a close friend was the officiant and could add in personal and fun details about the bride and groom. They kissed and everyone cheered with love! That’s when Caroline’s mom put on the speaker “who let the dogs out” as they danced their way into their future together.
On the sand we photographed family groups along with friends and gorgeous couples photos of Caroline & Eric. An incredible place for photography. After an abundant variety of creative photographs with Carline & Eric we were wrapping things up when a local couple greeted is on the beach and gave them a bottle of wine to open on their 10th anniversary. Such a great sentiment. Just then a rain cloud started to sweep in as we ran from the beach and they joined their family and friends for dinner at The Headlands. An incredible wedding day on the Oregon Coast!
